During the summer I introduced some Ameca Splendens to the tank They are also known as the Butterfly Goodeid. A great little fish that I recommend for everyone. In my acquiring of these live bearers, I have noticed they have an appetite for Hair Algae in the tanks they are in. The males have a great bright yellow tail and just shine in these tanks. They actually have a glitter to them as they dart around the tank. A fish again, that more people should pick up. From what I hear, they are endangered in their home waters. This is very sad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are some pictures of these guys. Male Betta&lt;br /&gt;7. Purple Passion Danios&lt;br /&gt;1. Hill Stream Loach&lt;br /&gt;3. Guppies&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had 2 gold rams before the guppies in the tank but they both did not make it. To my surprise, the Betta bullied them. It is the first I have ever had this problem. Bettas have always been docile for me but not this time. I find it to be a really nice setup. For lighting I am using the Coral life T-5 series lights for freshwater.
